BEARDED DRAGON MORPHS & BLOODLINES

Bearded dragon morphs refer to the genetic variations that influence a dragon’s color, pattern, scale structure, and overall appearance. At Andrew’s Reptiles LLC, we specialize in selectively bred, high-quality morphs and bloodlines, including Red Monster, Zero, Witblits, Wero, and other visually striking combinations.

Whether you are searching for rare bearded dragon morphs, learning about trait modifiers, or exploring bloodline lineages, this guide will help you understand the genetics and traits behind each dragon we work with.

RECESSIVE BEARDED DRAGON MORPHS

Recessive morphs are traits that require two copies of the gene to visually express.

  • Zero – Colorless, and Patternless morph with minimal pigment, typically white to silver in appearance.

  • Witblits – Patternless morph retaining warm earth tones, often tan or peach.

  • Wero – This isn't a morph but a combination of two morphs, the Zero and Witblits genetics. This produces clean-bodied dragons with softened color expression.

These morphs are highly sought after for advanced breeding projects.

RED MONSTER & HIGH-RED BLOODLINES

Red Monster bearded dragons are a selectively line-bred bloodline focused on extreme red coloration. Through careful pairing across generations, red saturation and intensity are enhanced to produce visually striking dragons. Unlike recessive morphs, bloodline quality depends on lineage and breeder selection.

MORPHS (TRAIT MODIFIERS)

In addition to primary morphs and bloodlines, many dragons express trait modifiers that influence appearance:

  • Leatherback (morph trait modifier) – Reduced scalation, or scale size for smoother appearance, touch and enhanced color visibility.

  • Translucent / Trans (morph trait modifier) – Dark eyes and slightly translucent skin in hatchlings. This greatly enhances color, and hatchlings will have a dark colored belly.

  • Genetic Stripe (morph trait modifier) – Clean dorsal stripe with reduced side patterning.

  • Hypomelanistic / Hypo (morph trait modifier) – Reduced black pigment for brighter and lighter overall coloration.

  • Dunner (morph trait modifier) – Dominant morph altering scale direction, pattern layout, and texture for a visually distinct dragon.

These modifiers can combine with recessive morphs and bloodlines to produce unique, highly desirable combinations.
