Bearded Dragon Purchase Agreement
By purchasing a bearded dragon, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
General
- We do not offer payment plans at this time. Please do not contact us unless you can pay in full.
- We do not hold dragons without payment. If you see an animal you really like, you will need to purchase it to guarantee that you’ll receive it.
- We will not hold a dragon for more than 14 days after it has been paid for.
- Purchase and care of animal must be by someone who is 18 years old.
- Due to the unpredictable nature of animals, we do not guarantee the temperament of an animal.
- Pictures are taken to represent the structure of the animal. Color of the animal can vary by lighting, background, temperature, timeframe till shedding, mood of the dragon, what device the picture is taken on, and the camera being used to take the pictures. We strive to represent our animals as true to life as possible. We do not alter the photos in any way.
Shipping
- Customers are required to pick up their animal at a FedEx hub, no home deliveries. No exceptions.
- We only ship on Tuesday for arrival on Wednesday.
- After purchasing a bearded dragon, we will contact you via email to provide you with your FedEx hub pickup options.
- If you decide to back out of a purchase before the reptile has shipped, we will refund your payment minus $100 dollars. $100 dollars is non-refundable. If we back out of a sell, we will refund 100% of the payment (i.e. the reptile isn’t eating as well as we would like).
- Shipment will occur on the day that is discussed by both parties. We only ship on Tuesday for arrival on Wednesday. If poor weather prevents shipment (this will be decided by us) then a new shipping date will be discussed. If a new date cannot be agreed upon then we will refund 100% of the money that was paid.
Animal Attributes
- We guarantee that the animal being delivered is the exact one represented in the product advertisement.
- We guarantee the sex, genetics, and health of the animal. If we sex the animal wrong, the genetics are not what was stated in the ad, or the customer determines the animal isn’t healthy, we will provide a full refund including shipping costs, for a time period of 7 days from the time the animal is delivered to the customer. Refunds will not be issued until the dragon is returned.
Animal Health
- We guarantee the health of the animal for 7 days.
Live Arrival Guarantee
We guarantee your reptile will arrive alive and in good condition when shipped under approved conditions.
To qualify for this guarantee, you must:
- Pick up your shipment from the FedEx hub within 3 hours of arrival
- Open and inspect the package within 1 hour
- Record a continuous video of the unboxing (starting before opening the box)
- Provide photos of the animal, packaging, and shipping label
- Report any issues within 1 hour of delivery
Failure to follow these steps will void the Live Arrival Guarantee.
If all requirements are met and a DOA (dead on arrival) is confirmed, we will provide a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion. Liability is limited to the purchase price.
Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy) – Andrews Reptiles LLC
Andrews Reptiles LLC guarantees that all reptiles will arrive alive and in good condition when shipped under approved conditions. Due to the sensitive nature of live animal shipping, the customer must be available to receive the shipment and must pick up the animal from the designated FedEx hub within 3 hours of delivery or availability for pickup. The package must be opened and the animal inspected within 1 hour of delivery or pickup. Failure to retrieve the package within this timeframe or to inspect the animal within 1 hour will void the Live Arrival Guarantee.
To qualify for any live arrival claim, the customer is required to record a continuous, unedited video beginning before the shipping box is opened and clearly showing the sealed package, the full unboxing process, the animal inside the original packaging, and the condition of the animal upon arrival. The video must be uninterrupted and must accurately document the condition of the shipment at the time of delivery. In addition to the required video, the customer must provide clear photos of the animal inside the packaging, the shipping box and label, and any heat or cold packs included in the shipment. Claims supported only by photos, or photos taken after the animal has been removed from the packaging without proper video documentation, will not be accepted.
All claims must be submitted within 1 hour of delivery or pickup via email and must include the required video, photos, and order information. Failure to provide complete documentation within this timeframe will void the Live Arrival Guarantee. Andrews Reptiles LLC is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, missed deliveries, packages left outside, incorrect shipping information provided by the customer, or failure to follow shipping instructions, including prompt pickup from a FedEx hub.
We reserve the right to delay shipments due to unsafe weather conditions. If a customer chooses to ship against our recommendation, the Live Arrival Guarantee may be voided. This guarantee does not cover issues arising after delivery, including improper handling, environmental conditions, or stress-related complications.
In the event that all requirements are met and a valid DOA is confirmed, Andrews Reptiles LLC will offer a replacement animal, store credit, or a refund at our discretion. Under no circumstances will Andrews Reptiles LLC be responsible for any amount exceeding the original purchase price of the animal. By completing a purchase, the customer agrees to all terms outlined in this policy, and failure to comply with any requirement will void the Live Arrival Guarantee.
Returns
- If the customer decides within the 7 day guarantee period that they want to return the animal, it will be the CUSTOMERS responsibility to ship the animal back. A refund will not be issued until the animal is returned AND is in the same condition it was received in. Careful consideration should be made BEFORE purchasing an animal. Please do not make an impulse buy, these are live animals and shipping a live animal isn’t easy.
